March…in Like a Lion

barkeater Blog, Events

By Sarah Elizabeth Morris

Mark your calendars in March, because Barkeater Chocolates has multiple events coming up!! March 13, Co-Founder and President of Barkeater Chocolates Deb Morris will be giving a seminar at Crandall Library on the risks and benefits of a startup. Having personal experience in the field, she understands what makes a business grow (or tank). This interactive lecture is open to anyone who wants to learn about starting, improving or expanding businesses in a unique and creative way.

Deb Morris will then be teaching Chocolate Making Basics at the SUNY Adirondack Culinary Arts Center on March 26. Deb teaches as an adjunct culinary professor there, and those wish to come can experience a class of hers without being a SUNY ADK student. You’ll learn everything about chocolate from the history of it to how to make it. In fact, students will be able to work with chocolate and take their masterpieces home. Please bring an apron, closed toe shoes and a hat, hairnet or headband. Links to tickets for this class can be found on Barkeater’s Facebook page.

Lastly, Barkeater Chocolates will be at the Saratoga Springs City Center for ANCA Buyer Days. There, wholesale buyers visit tables and talk to vendors selling locally and handmade products. Our chocolate will be there as well as our professionals. Ask questions, try samples and stock your shelves. This is a wholesale show open to buyers who own or manage retail businesses. It’ll be a good time for all.
