We love summer! But summer doesn’t always love chocolate.
- If you live in an area that routinely sees temps above 85 degrees, or is currently experiencing a heatwave, you have a few options. 1) wait until cooler temps prevail, 2) keep your order to items that won’t melt (such as coffee, hot cocoa mixes, merch and gift cards), or 3) select a fast shipping speed.
- About shipping speeds…if your chocolate is being shipped to an address in the northeast, you may be able to safely select ground or priority shipping, as our insulated wrap and ice packs will be able to keep your chocolate cool for a day or two.
- If you’re looking for chocolate to be sent anywhere else, you don’t want it to travel for more than two days, in normal summer conditions. For extreme weather, overnight shipping is best (anything 90+ degrees).
- Overnight shipping is very expensive. And unfortunately, we don’t have any wiggle room on those prices. If it’s a gift, we suggest purchasing a gift card. Otherwise, wait until the weather breaks.
- If you’re traveling to the Adirondacks, we would love for you to visit our store and load up!! Be prepared with insulated bags and ice packs so your chocolates can stay in your car while you enjoy the beautiful splendor of our area. And pack those carry-on bags carefully!
- If you order from us and we deem the weather too risky for the shipping speed you have chosen, we will either delay shipping or contact you to encourage you to upgrade your shipping choice.
- One more thing to consider! If you live in cool mountains on the west coast where temps rarely exceed 75 degrees, consider the climate your chocolate has to travel through to get to you. One or two day shipping options are still important!
